Recently, the U.S. Department of Education announced plans to gather public input on possible amendments to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the landmark disability civil rights law, in order to strengthen and protect the rights of students with disabilities. This comes at a time of continued failures to meet the needs of disabled students during this ongoing pandemic through the unmitigated spread of infectious disease that limits students’ ability to learn and impacts other life activities. We are encouraging everyone to submit comments during this period to ensure the Department knows what the public feels is important to address in this matter and that they must do better now and in the future.

Join us to learn more and to workshop comments to submit.

Event will be held on zoom, auto captioning available, no ASL or CART.

You can send a comment through our letter writing campaign.
