The agenda for this meeting will include a discussion of topics that are more 'business-oriented' and are key for us to agree and come to a consensus in order to move onto the next phase of SEL4NJ.
- membership vs. supporter vs. endorser
- individual vs. organizational membership
- priorities and benefits to organizations and associations to being a part of SEL4NJ
In addition there are a number of other important exciting developments to discuss - including: updates regarding grants projects related to a number of Landscape Analysis work group areas; incorporation status; national news and updates (lots happening!)
SEL4NJ is an affiliate of SEL4US, a national network of state alliances promoting social-emotional learning (SEL) and related approaches. SEL4NJ is the statewide organization
that brings together a wide variety of educational, professional and community organizations to promote awareness and provide support for those working to incorporate SEL into their school culture.
The mission of SEL4NJ is to continuously build a network of organizations and individuals in New Jersey that are committed to the importance of developing students’ social and emotional competencies. Through this collaboration, SEL4NJ will support and promote a systematic and intentional integration of SEL, as broadly defined, in schools and other organizations, including before and after school programming.
