SEL4NJ is an affiliate of SEL4US, a national network of state alliances promoting social-emotional learning (SEL) and related approaches. SEL4NJ replaces the New Jersey School Health and Climate Coalition as the statewide organization that brings together the wide variety of educational, professional and community organizations to promote awareness and provide support for those working to incorporate SEL into their school culture.

The mission of SEL4NJ is to continuously build a network of organizations and individuals in New Jersey that are committed to the importance of developing students’ social and emotional competencies. Through this collaboration, SEL4NJ will support and promote a systematic and intentional integration of SEL, as broadly defined, in schools and other organizations, including before and after school programming.
