The Health Care circus continues.
The vote that was scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, was delayed because of a lack of support from Republican senators. It appears the Senate will add amendments and bring the bill back to a vote during the week of July 10.
Senator Roberts was a yes vote and will probably remain a yes vote, but Senator Moran stated last week that “If this bill isn’t good for Kansas, it isn’t good for me,” and pulled his support. Although we applaud him for taking Kansas into consideration when reviewing the Senate health care bill, we will still need to make our voices heard. We Kansans cannot be complacent.
So, when we found out Senator Moran is having a town hall in Palco, KS, a place with population of under 300, we couldn’t resist planning a road trip into the cornfields of Western Kansas. We need you to join us, so we can once again tell Senator Moran this bill does not reflect Kansans’ values and he should continue to not support it.
