Please join us for our discussion of the book, Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent by Uruguayan journalist Eduardo Galeano (1971) on Tuesday, 03/22/22 from 7:00PM - 9:00PM PST.
The discussion group is open to all, including DSA members outside of the San Fernando Valley and non-DSA members.
In Open Veins, Galeano covers topics such as colonialism, imperialism, and dependency theory in Latin America through histories of European colonization and exploitation of natural resources and US imperialism.
