#ShutDownChase - Seattle - 2019
Start: Wednesday, April 10, 2019• 1:00 PM
April 10th is a National Day of Action against JPMorgan Chase's funding of fossil fuels. There are actions confirmed in New York, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Portland, and at least fifteen other cities around the country.
In Seattle, we are going to visit all 44 of the Chase branches in the region. Together, we will hold them accountable for funding climate disaster and human rights abuses.
Join us at Westlake at 1 PM where we'll meet near the stage at the north end of the park. We'll gather there as a group before going to pay a visit to one or two Chase branches in the area to "congratulate" them on being the world's largest funder of fossil fuels.
Why are we doing this? Well, here are a few reasons
* Chase is the largest funder of fossil fuels in the world
* Since the Paris Agreement was signed in 2015, Chase has
loaned $196 BILLION o the fossil fuel industry
* Chase has loaned $68 billion MORE than any other bank in
the world to fossil fuel expansion!
Hope to see you there!
