Q: What is the start point of the march?
A: Littlejohn Community Center (644 Old Greenville Hwy AKA Hwy 93)

Q: Where is the end point of the march?
A: Brackett Hall on Clemson University (221 Calhoun Drive)

Q: I'm confused. I thought it was Hardin Hall?
A: The event has been moved to Brackett which has better accessibility accommodations for marchers and a large indoor auditorium.

Q: How do I get back to my car that I left at Littlejohn Community Center?
A: There are multiple options.
-The Red Route CATbus leaves Sikes Hall at 18 minutes after every hour and has a stop at Littlejohn Community Center.

-Leaving one vehicle on campus and one at Littlejohn Community Center
---Parking services in going to provide "relaxed enforcement" of the Sikes Hall Lot (large lot behind Sikes Hall). Marchers who do not have any sort of Clemson decal may park in GREEN SPACES in ONLY this lot. Do NOT park in a metered spot (without paying the meter) or you will be ticketed. GREEN SPACES ONLY
---For those with Clemson decals on their vehicle, you know the rules related to your type of decal in regard to campus parking on a Saturday. Yes. You can still park in the Sikes lot even if you have a decal.

Q: What time should I arrive?
A: There will be pre-march activities including music and sign making supplies (you must bring your own board/paper) that will start not later than 9:30. So please arrive early to make the most out of your day. We will be departing promptly at 10:00 am.

Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: This is a rain or shine march. If we have to march with umbrellas then we march with umbrellas.

Q: How long will the actual march be?
A: The route is posted above the Q&A and we will be marching roughly 2.3 miles with an estimated time (considering group size) of roughly 1 hour.

Q: What happens when we get to Brackett Hall?
A: This is where the teach-in/rally will be held starting at 11 am. There will be speakers, music, volunteer sign-up opportunities and more. We will also be collecting your input as to "Why I March".

Q: I only want to participate in the rally at Brackett and not the march. Is that OK?
A: Yes

Q: I want to march but I might not be able to make it that far?
A: We encourage you to invite your family and friends to help you. Start the march closer to campus or meet us in Bracket Hall.

Q: I am deaf, will there be an ASL interpreter available?
A: Yes

Q: Can I bring my children?
A: Yes. Please see below link for some tips about marching with children.

http://parentstogetheraction.org/…/10-tips-marching-safely…/

Q: Do we have permits?
A: Yes, all necessary permits have been secured.

Q: What should I put on my sign?
A: Your message is entirely up to you. Please keep in mind this is a peaceful march.

For some great ideas please visit our sister site as they have a huge collection of signs and encourage people to "snoop" and get ideas:

Q: What if I have to use the restroom?
A: Both Littlejohn and Brackett have public restrooms. There are also several public businesses that we will be passing on our march route.

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: While there are no rules against this, it is highly discouraged. We know your dog is lovable and friendly yet there are people with serious phobias about dogs (yes, even the smallest most lovable dog in the world, it's a phobia). If you do decide to bring your dog, please make sure to keep them leashed at all times.

Q: What about parking at Littlejohn Community Center?
A: There is ample parking at both the community center and the church directly behind it.

If you have a question that remains unanswered, please send it to tircountyscwomensmarch@gmail.com or post on our Facebook page -

We are very excited about this march experience!
