Snap Action: Climate Emergency Declaration
Start: Tuesday, May 31, 2022• 3:00 PM
End: Tuesday, May 31, 2022• 4:30 PM
The Climate Emergency Declaration first passed the South Australian Upper House (Legislative Council) on September 25th 2019.
It's now being introduced into the Lower
House (House of Assembly) by Environment Minister Susan Close. In March, Susan Close stated that the Malinauskas government will declare a climate emergency.
If it passes SA will be the first Australian State to do this (except for ACT, a territory). The bill then would need to pass the Upper House again.
Let’s celebrate this
as a follow up to the Federal election results which saw some of this countries worst climate wreckers kicked out of parliament.
Invite your friends. This action is open to everyone. There will be chants, speeches and more!
