Grrrls to the front! We want Revolution Girl Style Now! Come experience some living history of 3rd wave feminism with the band that most people think of when they think of the Riot Grrrl movement! The Socialist Feminist Section welcomes anyone who wishes to attend a punk concert with one of the original Riot Grrrl bands, Bikini Kill! They are playing at the Fillmore in Silver Spring on July 11th at 7pm. (Ticketmaster, $39.50+fees) Please make sure that you get tickets for the July 11th performance, not the 12th!

Bikini Kill was a DC band for a few years in the early '90s after their founding in Olympia, WA. We'll start off the evening with a Happy Hour (following all COVID-19 CDC recommendations in effect as of July) at 5 pm at the Quarry House Tavern, a short walk away from the Fillmore.
