Join Thrive Street Choir and Sunrise Bay Area for a harmonious experience at our upcoming free outdoor event: "Thrive Song Leader and Drum Training." As passionate advocates for justice, we believe in the power of music to inspire, unite, and ignite positive change. This event is your opportunity to learn the art of song leadership and drumming, equipping you with the tools to effectively channel the heartbeat of the movement through captivating melodies and rhythms.

Our instructors will be Megan Nguyen and Mae Moroney. Megan Nguyen is an organizer with the Sunrise Movement and has been leading songs and chants for the climate justice movement since 2019. Mae is one of the co-organizers of Thrive Street Choir and she will provide song leading tips and movement songs. They will guide you in how to project your voice without losing it, sing movement songs to add to your library, and use the power of drums to share your message.

Bring your own drum if you have one, some drums will be available at the training.

Whether you're a seasoned singer or simply want to share music in community with others, this event is for all who want to shape a better world and sing for hope, action, and justice.
