SOS ––Swim For Home

Start: Saturday, September 08, 201812:00 PM

End: Saturday, September 08, 2018 1:00 PM

THANK YOU so much for signing on!  Cape Cool artivists will speak (and sing!) very briefly at the #Swim4Life Mermaid Brunch on the Boatslip deck, sometime between 10:30 and 11:45.  At noon we will circle up to the west of the Boatslip beach (which is reserved for arriving swimmers and paddlers), just west of the public access lane.  We will call in the four directions, honoring more than 800 events unfolding around us in 91 countries, all 50 states and Puerto Rico.  We will touch the ground, sharing our commitments and resolutions for action  (silently or out loud) and rise up singing, starting with  the Peace Poet's chant, "The Voice of My Great-granddaughter" aka "The people gonna rise like the water." We'll stand in solidarity with climate activists around the world and drum the swimmers home.

Respect for the safety and wellbeing of swimmers and the hard work of #Swim4Life and Provincetown Compact organizers and volunteers is paramount.  We are all working to safeguard the health of our loved ones, communities and planet.

On September 8, thousands of actions and events will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.

Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action.
