This is a virtual event
Join STAND-L.A. on Thursday, March 25th at 6 pm PST for a virtual town hall event and toxic tour to hear from City Council members and frontline activists about Los Angeles' chance to build a healthier and more just fossil-free future!
We will provide an overview of STAND-L.A.'s campaign for environmental justice and the City Council's upcoming policy opportunity to phase out oil drilling in communties across the City. We will also be guiding attendees through a virtual "Toxic Tour" of an oil drilling site to illustrate the dangerous proximity of oil extraction sites to homes, schools, hospitals, churches, and parks in frontline communities. There be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of frontline residents and Councilmembers during the Q&A portion of the panel discussion.
We hope you will join us! Together, we will phase out oil drilling in the city of Los Angeles and bring environmental justice to impacted residents, frontline communities, and Black and Brown Angelenos who have lived far too long in the toxic shadow of Big Oil.
