Stand with Momentive Strikers | NYC Rally

Start: Friday, January 13, 2017 4:30 PM

Working people at Momentive Performance Materials in Waterford, NY put it all on the line to go out on strike to save good jobs and stop Wall Street greed from destroying their community. They've been on strike and without a paycheck for over two months now. Will you stand with them?

Join us on Friday in New York City for a rally in front of the greedy private equity firm - Apollo Global Management - that owns the bulk of Momentive and has been the puppet master driving down workers' standard of living for years.

Leon Black, the CEO of Apollo, has gotten rich destroying good jobs at companies like Momentive. We'll be right out front of Apollo Headquarters to make sure Leon hears us loud and clear: we won't let him destroy good jobs.

Since private equity took over Momentive from GE in 2006, wages have been slashed up to 50%, pensions have been frozen, and more jobs have been outsourced.

The company is trying to slash not only active employees' healthcare, but eliminate completely the healthcare of retirees - some of whom are dealing with illnesses directly related to their exposure to deadly chemicals at the plant. That's unacceptable.
