Stop EACOP documentary - EACOP: a crude reality
Start: Friday, February 24, 2023• 6:00 PM
Join us for a documentary screening and get involved in the Stop EACOP campaign.
The struggle to end fossil fuels must be international. In Uganda and Tanzania people are fighting the East African Crude Oil Pipeline. French oil giant Total and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation plan to build a massive oil pipeline right through the heart of Africa – displacing communities, endangering wildlife and tipping the world closer to full-blown climate catastrophe.
Come along to this Liverpool screening of the documentary EACOP: a crude reality, as part of the Stop EACOP week of action on Friday 24th February, 6pm at the Caledonia Pub.
In this film, you will hear directly from communities affected by EACOP and activists who fight what would be the longest-heated crude oil pipeline in the world. The documentary screening will be followed by a discussion and provide you with resources to get involved in the campaign against EACOP. The film will be introduce with short video by Patricia Sally Namirembe from Fridays For Future Uganda.
Accessibility information: Unfortunately the room is located upstairs and not fully accessible. But we are looking at showing the film again at an alternative accessible venue soon.
