Stop Lincoln Yards and Fund the Schools Our Students Deserve!

End: Tuesday, April 09, 2019• 6:30 PM
The Chicago City Council will vote on April 10 on the massive $1.3 billion giveaway of TIF dollars to the Lincoln Yards mega-luxury real estate development. Those public funds SHOULD be funding our public schools, our students' needs and better wages and working conditions for CTU members.
Tell Chicago's lame duck mayor that we won't stand for another corporate giveaway at the expense of our schools. The Lincoln Yards hand-out could fund the CTU's contract demands for social workers, nurses, counselors and librarians in every school, lower class sizes, restorative justice, affordable housing for students and teachers, and full staffing for special education and bilingual education. We're joining with allies across the city for a week of actions to use public dollars for public needs -- from mental health clinics and affordable housing to sustainable community schools with nurses and librarians.Join us after school on April 9 to say NO to Lincoln Yards!
