Stop Slavery & Wage Theft in San Jose - Union Action RSVP

Start: Thursday, August 09, 201811:00 AM

Stop Slavery in Downtown San Jose.

The Mercury News reported that 22 people were locked up in shipping containers and brought to-and-from Silvery Towers and forced to work for no pay.

Full Power has been using Nobilis Construction for years and the result is that slavery helped build a city subsidized highrise development in Downtown San Jose. Shame.

Nobilis Construction forced people into slave labor and stole wages from many of its workers. The Department of Labor caught up with them and fined them $250,000 in back wages.

It’s time that we and elected leaders hold ALL dirty developers, contractors and sub-contractors accountable. Join us on Thursday August 9, 2018 at 11 am to shine a light on Slavery Towers, 188 West St. John Street, San Jose, CA 95110.

Lunch will be provided.
