Pizza & Politics– Urge Sununu to Veto Voter Suppression!

Start: Tuesday, May 29, 2018 5:00 PM

End: Tuesday, May 29, 2018 7:00 PM

Join the New Hampshire Young Democrats Tuesday, May 22th from 5-7PM to urge Sununu to veto HB 1264.

Come hungry, bring your laptop!

HB372 was killed last week by Senate in Committee of Conference. HB1264 is still on its way to the Governor's desk!

These bills are the latest attempts by politicians in Concord to influence the system by discouraging voters that don't agree with them. It would have a chilling effect on the rights of military, visiting professionals and students to vote in New Hampshire.

These bills would act as a post-election poll tax where, if a person decides to exercise her constitutional right to vote, that person would now have 60 days to pay the State various motor vehicle fees. We should be working to attract and retain people so they make New Hampshire home and help our state’s economy grow and thrive. We shouldn't shut them out.

Even Governor Chris Sununu admits that this bill will stop every eligible voter from casting a ballot. The bills have passed the House and are awaiting Senate vote before they hit the Governor's desk. Governor Sununu is our last chance to stop these bills.
