Join N4MN at the State Office Building to support the opening hearing of a bill which would legalize Missing Middle Housing statewide!

We need to show our support in numbers and attend the hearing to show our support for more housing options throughout the state.

Hold signs, wear purple, or just come as you are and sit with other N4MN folks!

Some background:

What is the problem?

In most Minnesota communities, nearly all residential land bans all housing except for one legal type: one one-family home. These regulations are called “single family zoning” or “apartment bans.” Rules like these mandate that homes come with expensive, large yards and garages making homes more expensive for families to afford.

What is "Missing Middle Housing"?

Missing Middle housing is a range of house-scale buildings with multiple units—compatible in scale and form with detached single-family homes—located in a walkable neighborhood. This kind of housing (duplexes, fourplexes, courtyard buildings, etc.) provides solutions along a spectrum of affordability to address the mismatch between the available homes in MN and shifting demographics combined with the growing demand for walkability.
