On July 29-30, SURJ Action is convening chapters from Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia in order to help build relationships among regional chapters, provide skills training, and encourage joint campaign/organizing work. The first day of the convening is geared toward relationship-building and organizing skills training; the second day is optional, and is geared toward identifying and planning joint campaign work by chapters across the region.

There is no cost to attend this convening. Attendees are asked to work with their local chapter to raise the funds to cover the cost of travel and meals, and the host chapter in Nashville will arrange childcare for attendees, as well as supporter housing for those intending to stay overnight. We are also encouraging chapters to focus on sending folks to this convening who identify as poor or working-class and, if needed, SURJ National can help support chapters in providing wage replacement support for poor or working-class members who are able to attend.
