Join us and take part in the Cut The Money Week of Action - and tell CommBank to cut all funding for fossil fuels!
Oil and gas corporations are out here making record super profits while we all pay the price. They are spinning the line that gas is “clean” while methane emissions spill from their fracking wells and they continue to open new fields that they know will fuel global warming.
CommBank continues lending to fossil fuel projects and companies despite warnings from global bodies that coal oil and gas production must be completely phased out by 2030.
In the lead up to CommBank's AGM on October 12 we have an opportunity to make grassroots opposition to CommBank's massive oil and gas lending seen. If we can demonstrate widespread public support for CommBank to shift away from gas investments, we could put a real dent in the expansion plans of gas giants like Santos, Origin and Woodside who rely on the big 4 banks for funding.
We'll gather at 8.15AM on Wednesday September 21 to do a photo stunt action outside one of the biggest CBA offices and engage commbank staff with flyers. If you have time after the action, join us for a coffee and postering session to spread our message further.
