Come with your N4MN signs, wear purple (we'll take you even if you don't have purple!), and stay for pizza and a social hour afterward from 11-12 pm for lunch.

Why eliminate parking minimums?

Local zoning laws mandate arbitrary amounts of parking which do not align with what is used day to day. We can replace parking lots with more homes and build abundant homes by removing parking minimums. Building parking increases the land needed for a project which drives sprawl and increases cost. Without parking mandates, it is possible to reduce sprawl and prevent greenfield development from eating up farmland and natural areas. Parking lots create dead zones in any community. Ending requirements for parking gives communities the option to replace parking lots with amenities.

LOCATION DETAILS:

Meet in room 1200 in the Minnesota Senate Building (across the street from the Capitol building) at 9:50 AM. After the event, we will head up to room 2308 for pizza and socialization.
