We are organizing the largest action we've ever planned: A huge rally, protesting the expansion of I-35 at Sanchez Elementary School on November 5 at 11am. There are some extremely important votes happening this fall so...

It is crucial that we get a BIG turnout!

We're looking for 200 volunteers who will find five (new) people to commit to coming to the rally!

The 200 friend-getters will be entered into a raffle and we'll be giving away 10 of these locally-designed limited edition t-shirts designed by Chris Gannon! One ticket, per quintet of friends.

Here's how it works:

(1) Find five people who will commit to coming to the rally. Ask them to RSVP to the rally using this link. You can use our official Outreach Guide which includes a template. We also recommend making a google-calendar invite so you can make sure that it's on their calendar.

(2) You (the person bringing the 5 friends) RSVP here and enter your friends' names in the relevant box (first names are fine). You will get one raffle ticket for each five friends your bring.

(3) Send people a reminder as the date approaches. Also ask your friends to let you know if something came up and they can no longer come. If that happens, do try to find somebody else if possible!

Please also spread the word using any other means you have: mailing lists, social media, WhatsApp groups, etc.

Hello friends,

Rethink35 is planning an extremely important event to protest the expansion of I-35. PLEASE PLEASE COME! It will be on November 5 from 11-12 in the parking lot of Sanchez Elementary School (73 San Marcos Street). If you do one thing this year to prevent I-35 from getting bigger, uglier, more congested and more polluting, this should be it! It will be fun - and your presence would mean a great deal to me.

Please let me know whether you can come using the calendar invite I sent, and please also RSVP to the event using this link.

We can get a better outcome for I-35, but we need people to show up. Very much hope you can come!
