This 6-week series, organized by Pace e Bene, is about nonviolence as organized love. You will tap into the heart and soul of nonviolence, exploring its stories, principles, and spiritual depth. We will look at the stories of Dr. King, MK Gandhi, Bacha Khan, Dorothy Day, Leymah Gbowee, and many more. We will also learn from the examples of people like us who are taking action right now for racial justice, environmental protection, economic justice, and peace. Exploring inner and outer work, as well as social transformation and movements for change, this course will be participatory, fun, deep, and meaningful. Using podcasts, discussions, and readings, you'll look at people who have stood up for justice, navigated crisis, and brought love-in-action into our world.

Participants will learn:

  • How to tap into the spirit of nonviolence

  • Historic and current examples of organized love

  • How to find courage and hope in times like these

  • The inner work that supports outer change, and

  • The outer work that changes our communities and cultures
