This is a virtual event

Renegotiating NAFTA has been a goal of the trade justice movement for decades, and while Donald Trump has announced plans to repeal or renegotiate the 3-nation pact, it remains to be seen exactly how a de-regulatory, anti-environment administration will represent our priorities.

Trump’s “better trade deals” will more than likely mean more fossil fuels and factory farm exports, more restrictions on life-saving medications for the developing world, and continued downward pressure on global labor. While his campaign-trail rhetoric emphasized “making America great again,” will his trade agenda actually prove to be pro-worker, or pro-human rights?

Please join Trade Justice Alliance as we welcome experts of trade policy's impacts on labor, agriculture, the environment, human rights, and global access to medications, and what we can expect from the Trump administration on trade, and the alternatives we must join together to promote.

We look forward to welcoming: Robert Kuttner, Co-Founder and Co-Editor, the American Prospect Magazine;

Dr. Steve Suppan, Senior Policy Analyst, Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy;

Michael Stumo, CEO, Coalition for a Prosperous America;

Ben Beachy, Senior Policy Advisor, Sierra Club's Responsible Trade Program;

Dr. Margaret Flowers, Co-Editor, PopularResistance.org, Co-Host, Clearing the Fog Radio, and Coordinator, Trade for People and Planet;

Emmelia Talarico, with Disrupt J20, and other speakers and activists discussing critical actions we can all take, including the upcoming inaugural week of protests January 14-20. Please join us for our first Trade Justice Alliance Webinar of 2017!
