2025 is here and there are TONS of ways you can get involved in the efforts to make your community and the whole Bay Area better places to walk, bike, and take transit. Tune in to get up-to-speed on Transbay Coalition's efforts and ways you can get involved. Efforts include:

  • Winning more funding for all 27 transit agencies in the Nine-County Bay Area. Transbay Coalition is pushing for this on two fronts, 1) Getting the governor to "flex" federal funds away from highway expansion to instead fund transit, and 2) Getting the state legislature to pass a bill that would allow for a funding measure to go onto ballots across the region
  • Bus lane, bike lanes, and safer street crossings for Stevens Creek Boulevard
  • Getting bus-lanes on local roads and other features that prioritize transit riders on our roads.
  • Getting shelters and benches at bus stops
  • Saving the Pittsburg-Antioch Amtrak station
  • Electrifying the Capitol Corridor
  • Connecting the Vallejo-American Canyon-Napa Corridor to the rest of the region via rail
  • Getting an infill BART station built in the San Antonio neighborhood of Oakland
  • Hosting more transit-related events throughout the region
  • Various ways to strengthen and expand the Transbay Coalition (like getting more transit riders plugged into the group in general, improving our online presence etc)

Also -- if YOU have an idea for a pro-transit/bike/street safety campaign you'd like to launch with the Transbay Coalition's help, let us know (info@transbaycoalition.org) and we'll see about getting you a slot during the meeting.
