Truth to Power - Inland Empire's Women's March
Start: Saturday, January 19, 2019•10:00 AM
The Women's Marches in 2017 and 2018 were the two largest days of protest in U.S. history. Over 1% of the U.S. population marched on January 21, 2017 for human rights in 500 marches. Women’s March Inc, Women’s March Global and Women’s March California and local chapters around the world then turned that moment into a year round movement.
Women’s March California has 15 chapters: Napa Valley, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Fresno, Kern County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento and the Inland Empire. These chapters currently host or partner in over 100 events each month-- and host the annual march.
Women's March chapters around the world march for our "Unity Principals". These principals include women’s rights, disability rights, immigrant’s rights, civil rights, environmental justice, an end to violence, reproductive rights, worker’s rights and LGBTQIA rights. If you agree with all of the unity principals, volunteer, partner or march. In 2017, we said, "Hear Our Voice". In 2018, we are saying, "Hear Our Vote". In 2019, we will say, we speak, "Truth to Power".
