On May 20, Rising Tide North America shared a bold invitation to organizers around North America called “Flood the System.”Flood the System is an invitation to participate in a wave of coordinated actions this fall to fight back against climate chaos, capitalism, and white supremacy.

Groups and organizers from around North America are coming together in their regions to form regional action councils. Each action council is taking responsibility for coordinating a series of actions throughout the fall and supporting each other through the process by organizing trainings, planning summits, phone calls, and in person meetings.

Three Rivers Rising Tide is inviting groups and organizers from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia to come together for a planning summit to learn more about the Flood the System action plan and start the conversation about planning a series of bold and energetic actions this fall.

Join us on Saturday, July 18^th for a kick off planning summit.
1pm to 5pm at the Human Services Building at 1 Smithfield Street in Downtown Pittsburgh.
(Free parking is available in the back of the building)

You! #FloodTheSystem is for the Rising Tide network, the larger climate justice movements, and other non-climate focused groups. Flood the system isn’t just a response to the climate crisis, we want to create a flood that can drown the capitalist system and create a space for strong, sustainable, resilient communities to grow.

Together we can create a flood of massive disruption to the systems of oppression driving the climate and economic crisis.Everybody’s welcome but please RSVP so we can know how many people to expect.
