What will we be doing?
We'll be focusing on chatting with voters on their doorstep across Roman Ridge ward. We know that those conversations with voters are so impactful and are key to getting Greens elected.
We'll also have leaflets available to deliver. Regular newsletters are another vital way to keep in touch with residents and make sure people are aware that Green Party campaigners are working hard all year round for them.
Timings
Please try to arrive on time for either the morning session at 10am or the afternoon session at 1pm.
Call Tony on 07954 006918 if you are arriving at another time so that he can let you know how to join up with the team.
The Action Day is expected to finish at 3.30pm for a debrief, refreshments and catch up back at Tony's house.
Travel
Closest train station is Bentley.
It's only a 5 minute walk/wheel from Bentley Train Station to Tony's house (meeting point). Call/text Tony on 07954 006918 if you need more information on public transport connections etc.
New to door knocking?
If you've not been to an action day before, we try our best to be a friendly bunch and make sure you're very well looked after! All training is provided on the day, you'll get the opportunity to practice before you head out, and we'll make sure you're paired with someone who's door knocked before so you can learn from them.
Clothing and appearance
Please do check the weather forecast before traveling. You may like to bring a waterproof coat and umbrella if it's raining, extra warm clothes if it's cold, or a hat and sun cream if it's hot! (wishful thinking!).
Otherwise please come dressed smart casually without badges, rosettes or any other branding. We won't judge you, but our voters, who we have to persuade to vote Green to get Tony and Paul elected, will!
