We will deliver a letter to U.S. Senators asking them to oppose the American Health Care Act (AHCA) and to be an original cosponsor for the new Sanders Medicare for All bill.

I strongly urge you to vote against and filibuster to block The American Health Care Act (AHCA), a dangerous proposal that would endanger the lives and health of millions of Americans, and also saddle American taxpayers and employers with $billions in additional expenditures.

The AHCA would be a disaster for people like me. It would gut protections for those of us pre-existing conditions, take away health care from tens of millions, raise costs for millions more, and decimate Medicaid. All this while sending our money to the super-rich and corporate CEOs, and taxing workplace health benefits. You must work to prevent its passage, and also prevent any similar alternatives from passing the Senate.

We need a national health care plan that will expand coverage for everyone, not one that cuts it like the AHCA and similar proposes would do. Therefore, I also strongly urge you to be an original cosponsor of Senator Bernie Sanders' pending legislation to expand healthcare to all. Studies show expanded, improved Medicare for all is the best healthcare solution. It would save lives, and save taxpayers' and employers' money.
