Virtual Activist Afternoons May 17

Start: Sunday, May 17, 2020 2:00 PM

Activist Afternoons is a way for all members of our community to gather and take action on the issues and elections we care about.

Thank you for being an awesome activist - we're inspiring others to take action!

Remote Work Options:

  • Justice Democrats - Make calls for Jamaal Bowman for Congress, an educator and true progressive running in NY-16 - sign up here!
  • Swing Left Greater Boston Join in to call Maine voters and help us get ready to oust Susan Collins! It’s all very easy - no persuasion required – just listening to voter issues, identifying support for candidates and cleaning up the list. Includes training for new volunteers.  RSVP HERE!
  • Swing Left Greater Boston We've transitioned to Porchside Pickup in Cambridge. $26 for a packet of 30 postcards. Pickup is available 2PM - 4PM, and specific pickup and payment instructions will be emailed to those who RSVP.  A Florida vote by mail postcard to-go party is a safe and effective way for you to help flip Florida - our country's largest swing state. You'll personalize and address postcards to likely Democrats, telling them how to request a Vote By Mail ballot. Our postcards increase their probability of applying to vote by mail. And when they apply to vote by mail, it makes it significantly more likely they will cast a ballot. You can write the postcards from your own home!
  • Swing Left Greater Boston Election 2020 Virtual Activism. 4pm-5pm. Zoom presentation with Janet Singer will cover 1. The state of the race. 2. Swingleft Super States strategy. 3. Tactics. 4. Making your individual activism plan.  Register here.
  • The Environmental Voter Project will be calling unlikely voters in Georgia to remind them to send in their absentee ballot applications ahead of their June 9th primary. Please join us here during regular Activist Afternoons hours to get started.
