Activists from many Marin and Sonoma County Indivisible chapters in conjunction with other activist and grass-roots organizations including the OFA, will gather at U.S. House Representative Jared Huffman’s San Rafael office at 999 Fifth Avenue, Suite 290, and at his Petaluma office at 206 G Street at 11am this coming Monday to show support for his opposition to the Trump Tax Plan.  This action is coordinated with a simultaneous parallel event organized by Indivisible Sonoma County taking place at U.S. House Representative Mike Thompson’s office in Santa Rosa at 2300 County Center Drive, Suite A100.

In San Rafael, join with Marin groups in a visit to Congressman Huffman's to thank him for his staunch opposition to the Trump Tax Scam. We will ask him to reach out Republicans from California to change their position and oppose the bill.

The Trump Tax Scam is a giveaway to the wealthy and corporations, paid for by slashing Medicaid and other critical programs that people rely on. Our goal is to let MoC’s know that this tax bill is dead on arrival, and to hold MoCs who voted for the budget accountable in a way that will make them less likely to vote for the Trump Tax Scam. Our strategy is to make the Tax Scam politically toxic by emphasizing the programs it will cut in order to finance giveaways to the 1%.
