Voter Empowerment Summit: Join Us in Fighting Voter Suppression

Start: 2020-04-04 10:00:00 UTC Pacific Time (US & Canada) (GMT-08:00)

End: 2020-04-04 13:00:00 UTC Pacific Time (US & Canada) (GMT-08:00)

This is a virtual event

Voter suppression is happening in many states throughout the country. Voter purging and restrictive identification requirements are preventing voters from fully participating in our democracy, disproportionately affecting voters of color. There's an active movement working in those states to silence people who were historically denied access to the ballot box.

The following organizations are hosting a Voter Mobilization & Protection Summit: Equal Justice Society, California Civil Rights Coalition, New Georgia Project, SEIU 1021, She The People, Advancement Project (National Office), Advancement Project California, Indivisible East Bay, Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund, Free Speech for People, Transformative Justice Coalition, The Bar Association of San Francisco, and Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

Our goal is to mobilize and deploy several thousand Californians to work in states threatened by voter suppression.
