CANCELED due to snow

Hilchos Purim details four main mitzvot of Purim:

  1. Listening to Megillas Esther - we will have a cozy reading space for a megillah reading, and there will also be performances and an acting out a reimagining of the purimsphiel at 7:30!
  2. Giving mishloach manos - we will be sharing food and drink, including triangle/vulva-shaped foods from Fox Market, and having a cash bar. Please also bring shelf-stable food for the Just Basic's food shelf!
  3. Handing out donations, matanos l’evyonim - we will be raising at least $2,000 for the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund through ticket sales, a silent auction, and donations - bring your cash, check, or card!
  4. Eating a festive meal and being joyous - get ready for a hot, sexy, topsy-turvey dance party, costume contest, and more. Live music from Brass Balagan. Bring your gragger and get ready to be loud!

Purim praises the subversion and inversion of all things. We'll let joy and the spirit of carnival lubricate the path of t'shuva. We will honor the story of Esther (an iconic queer ancestor) and traditions of Purim in service of collective liberation, including the liberation of both Palestinians and Jews.

This event is queer, loud, NSFW, and 21+. This event is centering Jewish experience and tradition; everyone who can hear the world to come is welcome.
