In this 2-part Race Class Narrative (RCN) introductory workshop, We Make The Future (WMTF) grounds participants in the RCN framework and narrative architecture. Participants will dive into the RCN architecture, draft narrative statements for their issue area, and get feedback on strong communications practices that include race and class at every step.

Part 1: Intro to RCN, Walkthrough the RCN architecture; Practice

Part 2: Write a full RCN Narrative with lots of feedback and time to rewrite.

Both parts are three hours and will happen within 1 week.

This workshop is a great fit for those who are looking for a solid introduction to RCN but you do not have to be steeped in communications. This session is designed for people ready to use RCN. This is an in-depth training, accessible across skill levels, with plenty of time for practice.

As with all of our workshops, this is an interactive experience that requires the full attention and participation of everyone who attends. There will be large group exercises as well as small group discussions and activities.

This workshop does not go in depth on the RCN research.

Technology Needs: Zoom, a computer with working speakers and mic (tablets and cell phones are not recommended) and familiarity with Google Slides
