Walk with IBEW 569 / EWMC in the 41st Annual MLK Parade

IBEW 569 and our Electrical Workers Minority Caucus (EWMC) is proud to walk in the 41st Annual MLK Parade and support civil rights and worker rights! Every year, our members march through downtown San Diego to honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr. On Sunday, January 15, 2023, EWMC and IBEW 569 of San Diego, will celebrate one of the most prominent civil rights leaders by participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade.
Our goal is to have 50+ members this year, so please share this event with everyone you can. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
WHAT: Walk with IBEW 569 / EWMC in the 41st Annual MLK Parade
WHEN: Sunday, January 15th, 1:00pm - 5:00pm (includes set-up and staging at 1:00pm, Parade to commence at 2:00pm; we are anticipated to be done before 5:00pm)
WHERE: Waterfront Park (North End), 1942 N Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101 (Look for the 569 Wrap Truck)

Notes: The Parade begins on Harbor Drive in front of the County Administration building at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2023. We’ll travel south on Harbor Drive, Left on Broadway, and Rt. at Pacific Highway. Total marching distance is 1.2 miles and the Parade route is 24 feet wide. The disbanding area is at Pacific Highway and G Street.
