Join the international community for We Charge Genocide: People's Tribunal on February 2 where we will hear testimony from communities impacted by the current genocide against Palestinians, solidarity statements from survivors and resisters of wars and occupations, and updates on the various strategies being used to secure a permanent and lasting ceasefire toward the end of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

RSVP to participate in the virtual People's Tribunal where you'll have the opportunity to be part of movement-led deliberations on the charges facing Israel, deliver a verdict, and hear discussions on the potential remedies for how we move forward.

The tribunal is organized by: Adalah Justice Project, Movement for Black Lives, Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, Southeast Asian Freedom Network, Rising Majority, Southeast Asian Freedom Network, and Center for Constitutional Rights.

This is a virtual event with language interpretation provided in ASL, Spanish, and Arabic.

Why a People's Tribunal?

Tribunals have been used historically to present evidence of the heinous crimes enacted against millions of people from violent regimes. In 1967, the International War Crimes Tribunal for Vietnam was organized to join the mass efforts to protest the U.S. war in Viet Nam. At this Tribunal, 25 people representing 18 different countries aimed to present evidence and answer the following questions:

  1. Has the United States Government (and the Governments of Australia, New Zealand and South Korea) committed acts of aggression according to international law?
  2. Has the American army made use of or experimented with new weapons or weapons forbidden by the laws of war?
  3. Has there been bombardment of targets of a purely civilian character, for example hospitals, schools, sanatoria, dams, etc., and on what scale has this occurred?
  4. Have Vietnamese prisoners been subjected to inhuman treatment forbidden by the laws of war and, in particular, to torture or mutilation? Have there been unjustified reprisals against the civilian population, in particular, execution of hostages?
  5. Have forced labour camps been created, has there been deportation of the population or other acts tending to the extermination of the population and which can be characterized juridically as acts of genocide?

As the international communities takes on the Israeli apartheid state vis-a-vis the case taken to the International Court of Justice by South Africa and the lawsuit filed against Biden, Blinken, and Austin on behalf of Palestinians (led by Center for Constitutional Rights), we organize a people's tribunal to provide an opportunity of all people of conscience to participate in deliberations.

We know that the pursuit of justice is necessary in the courts as well as in the streets and through public forums that demonstrate the popular will of billions of people around the world calling for ceasefire and a Free Palestine!
