Over the past three weeks, the transit advocacy landscape has been upended by COVID-19. From the Bay Area to Sacramento to Washington, D.C., the conversation about transit has shifted dramatically. In this rapidly changing environment, many advocates are wondering how to engage most effectively on local and national transit issues.

On Thursday, April 9, join Seamless Bay Area for a webinar about Bay Area transportation advocacy in the era of COVID-19, co-hosted by San Francisco Transit Riders and TransForm.

We’ll discuss the current status of securing emergency and recovery funding for operations public transit in the Bay Area and beyond, and what you can do to help; explain how today’s crisis relates to current efforts to advance greater coordination among Bay Area transit agencies; and provide updates on AB-2057, the Bay Area Seamless Transit Act, as well as an overview of how advocates can support structural reforms to ensure that our transit system emerges stronger and more resilient than before.
