Women's March - Bellingham, WA
Start: Saturday, January 21, 2017•10:00 AM
MISSION: The women of Bellingham, our neighboring areas, and our allies will march the streets of our subdued city, January 21st, 2017. Our message is bold: women's rights are human rights! We march in solidarity to lift up the voices of the most marginalized among us recognizing that they will be most affected by the new administration. This march is the first step toward unifying our communities, grounded in new relationships, to create change from the grassroots level up. We call on all defenders of human rights and all feminist people, including men and boys, to join this movement of marches around the country and world as we lift the rally cry: WE STAND TOGETHER. HEAR OUR VOICE!

Our march will consist of a one mile peaceful march of unity. We are not releasing the route, as we are hoping to minimize disruptions this way, but the route will be easy to follow and lead marchers on a loop through downtown Bellingham ending back at City Hall.
At our Community Connections Fair following the march you will have the opportunity to connect with local organizations and activists who are working to make a difference in Whatcom County. The march is just the first step. Join us in building new relationships and learning how you can support the ongoing work of organizations here in our community.
