Women's March, Downtown Las Vegas

Start: Saturday, January 21, 201711:00 AM

End: Saturday, January 21, 2017 2:00 PM

Welcome to the Women's March for Las Vegas, Nevada.

On January 21, 2017, 11am, we will unite at the Llama Lot (100–198 N 9th St Las Vegas across Fremont from Atomic Liquor) in Downtown Las Vegas to march in solidarity with those marching in the Women’s March on Washington, DC. From the lot we will make our way to the Federal Building (333 S Las Vegas Boulevard) where, at noon, local community leaders will give short addresses to those assembled. We will stand together in solidarity with our partners and children and each other for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.

This is an INCLUSIVE march, and EVERYONE who supports human rights are welcome. This is NOT a protest. Some folks attending may feel strongly “anti-Trump” for example. For those people, we urge you to get in touch with what you feel is the most important thing to protect or reform while he is in office and express that through this march. This march is about asking ourselves, "Okay, here is where we are so what are we going to DO going forward? What real actions are we going to take now to protect ourselves and our rights and our communities? What is on the top of our list to work on as activists AFTER the march and for at least the next four years?"

Thank you to all the people and organizations in our community that have helped us get this far! We are excited to join with you for this important event!
