Women's March Modesto - "Hear Our Vote" 2018 On January 20, 2018, we will gather at Briggsmore and McHenry Ave., Modesto, for an hour long rally. From the rally, we will march down McHenry to 5 points (Needham and J Street), turn right on Needham to Park Street, turn right and proceed to the Graceada Park Pavillion where our rally will convene. The mission of Women’s March Modesto is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change. Women's March Modesto is a female-led movement providing intersectional education on a range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists & organizers to engage with/in their local communities through training, outreach programs, and events. The events of 2017 have led the lead organizer WMModesto to focus on voter education, voter outreach, and voter empowerment, all encompassed in the message for this year… "Hear Our Vote" Women's March Modesto is committed to dismantling systems of oppression through nonviolent resistance and building inclusive structures guided by self-determination, dignity and respect.
