Women's March Pacifica, CA
Start: Saturday, January 20, 2018• 9:00 AM
End: Saturday, January 20, 2018•10:30 AM
We, the Resisters in Pacifica, CA, the Coastal Bay Area and the San Francisco Bay Peninsula are organizing a march on January 20th for the national, state and Bay Area Women's March. This will be a family-friendly, peaceful gathering to walk along the beautiful Linda Mar Pacifica State Beach trail. Let us rise and march again in solidarity for all issues of women's rights, gender equality, racial and religious equality, immigrant support and the upholding of our people's constitutional rights! We’ve seen how powerful we are when we gather together, when we allow our voices be heard and when we lift each other up to sing for all of those whose voices are seldom listened to. Whatever your individual reason or passion to march with us may be, we welcome you! Keep on persisting to resist the unfair abuses of power, misogyny, fascism and to resist also the politics of fear and ignorance that infects our society. Let us persist undeterred until united, not divided, we can ALL live a Life of Equality, Liberty and Happiness!
Join WOMEN'S MARCH PACIFICA at Linda Mar Pacifica State Beach just north of the Taco Bell parking lot at 9am on Saturday, Jan 20, 2018. Bring your loved ones! Share the info far and wide!
Also, giving back to our community and to those in most need is something we are wholeheartedly committed to. We will be accepting donations of Women's Hygiene Products to give over to the Pacifica Resource Center and local Women's Shelters. We will also have a limited supply of hand-made Pussy Hats in various colors available to purchase for your cash donations. All monetary funds collected at our march will go to The Southern Poverty Law Center and to the Bay Area Women's March Organization. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING YOUR GENEROUS HEARTS TO OUR EVENT!
From our partner organization: "On January 20, 2018, Women's March Bay Area will unite in San Jose and San Francisco to reaffirm our commitment to building a positive and just future for all, and to celebrate the spirit of resistance efforts over the past year. This rally is designed to engage and empower all people to support women's rights, human rights, social and environmental justice, and to encourage participation in 2018 midterm elections. HEAR OUR VOTE!"
Women's March of California: "The mission of WMCA is to harness the political power of women and their communities to create transformative social change. Women’s March is a female-led movement providing intersectional education on a range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists & organizers to engage with/in their local communities through trainings, outreach programs, and events."
From Women's March Network: "We can't wait to rise up together on January 21, 2018 — and beyond. The Women's March anniversary will kick-off a national voter registration and mobilization tour targeting swing states to register new voters, engage impacted communities, harness our collective energy to advocate for policies and candidates that reflect our values and collaborate with our partners to elect more women and progressives candidates to office. Together, we will show this administration that women are not backing down."
