Women's March - Sonoma County, CA
Start: Saturday, January 21, 2017•12:00 PM
Sonoma County Stands Together Women is a non-partisan all inclusive rally and march which encourages everyone women, men, children and families to join together for a celebration of diversity, in solidarity with those disenfranchised by campaign rhetoric and those who fear a loss of civil liberties. Local community organizations will present opportunities for engagement and action as we move forward towards inclusion and unity. Our three distinguished speakers include: Ann Gray Byrd, President of the Santa Rosa/Sonoma County NAACP, Alicia Sanchez, longtime Latino activist, lawyer, labor organizer, and board member of KBBF and Annie Dobbs-Kramer, community activist with North Bay Organizing Project. Speakers will provide a call to action for Women's Rights, Immigration Rights, Disability Rights, and Religious and Civil Liberties for all. This noon rally is a sister march of the DC WomenÍs March being held on the eve of the 44th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.
