Women's March - Vancouver

Start: Saturday, January 21, 201710:00 AM

End: Saturday, January 21, 201712:00 PM

A solidarity march in support of tolerance and basic human rights. We will start at Jack Poole plaza at 10, march to Trump towers after speakers and greetings, and then end back at Jack Poole plaza.

In the USA on Jan. 21 women will march on Washington to protest the attacks on immigrants of all statuses, Muslims and those of diverse religious faiths, people who identify as LGBTQIA, Native people, Black and Brown people, people with disabilities, survivors of sexual assault. Women in other cities around the world will march in solidarity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore.

The hope is that the Women’s March on Washington (and other cities) will send a bold message to the new USA government on their first day in office, and to the world that women's rights are human rights. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us. By marching in MANY cities, and MANY countries, with millions of women marching, we will make a large statement about women's willingness to stand up against hatred and willingness to stand in solidarity with each other and our allies!
