Women's Wave: 3rd Annual Women's March St. Johns

Start: Saturday, January 19, 201910:00 AM

Women's March St. Johns is an official chapter of Women's March in partnership with Indivisible St. Johns are hosting Women's Wave March and Rally.

Join us for the 3rd annual Women's March: Women's Wave

Women brought our Power To The Polls this November and elected a record number of women and the most diverse Congress in our nation's history. But we know we can’t stop there. We must demand concrete policy changes that reflect the values we first marched for two years ago.

It’s time to march again.

We are outraged. We are organized. They forgot that 5 million women lit the world on fire two years ago. On January 19, 2019, we’re going to remind them when we flood the streets of Washington, D.C., and cities across the globe. Save the date: The #WomensWave is coming, and we’re sweeping the world forward with us.

UPDATE: Due to the government shutdown, the Coast Guard can't keep the bridge open for the march. The Castillo De San Marcos is secured for the Rally.

The Women's Wave March will step off PROMPTLY at 10 AM from the center of the Bridge of Lion, 4 Anastasia Blvd, St Augustine, FL 32080-4502 (Davis Park). We will gather at Davis Park on the east side of the Bridge of Lions the line up on north sidewalk of Bridge of Lions and cross when the bridge then turn right to the fort using the sea wall or the sidewalk if needed. We must move over the bridge keeping in mind in becomes narrow at a certain point and if draw bridge goes up please be patient as we can't prevent this. This will occur every half hour. We will end at the on the hill facing S CASTILLO DRIVE backside side of the fort facing the Pirate Museum.

We ask everyone must stay out of roadways and remain on the sidewalk. Be patient and loving to each other, this March is based on this premise. Our goal is to make sure everyone is safe and voices be heard. Peacekeepers will help guide and help with safety throughout the route.

Parking: We strongly discourage parking in the Davis Shores/residential neighborhoods to avoid ticketing as well as complaints. We recommend finding parking where available and the parking garages.
