Ever found yourself thinking "How do I talk to my coworker"? Or have you walked into a scene at work just to be unloaded on and the boss says "Just focus more"? Communication is not always easy. We misread people, get misunderstood, and sometimes even cut off from communication.
Workers are always communicating: with their boss, customers, coworkers, suppliers, family, friends, kids, mentors, or neighbours. There are techniques we can all learn to communicate successfully, especially in stressful situations or when we might find it challenging or intimidating.
You can attend this workshop in person or virtually. There will be time to connect with other workers, Q&A, resources on the topic, and at least one 'take-away' new skill you can try through the week. Use this noon-hour workshop as your reset button in the day, and we will leave you in a better place to face the challenges at work.
The Yukon Federation of Labour, Yukon Employees Union and Mindset Management - Tangible Habit Coaching have teamed up to bring your 3 workshops linked to the topic of mental health at work. Each session offers something new and different. You don't need to have attended any other previous sessions. This session will focus on COMMUNICATION.
