Start: Monday, February 10, 2020 4:30 PM

End: Monday, February 10, 2020 6:30 PM

17% of Rhode Island high school students have experienced dating violence. When it comes to students who identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual, the percentage drastically increases to 30%, and for students who have a disability, to 32%. Victims of teen dating violence are much more likely to drink, use drugs, and consider or attempt suicide. They are also more likely to have experienced sexual assault or bullying. Join us for this session to develop a deeper understanding of teen dating abuse and explore the role you can play in preventing violence among Rhode Island youth.
