Go beyond the terminology and explore how to leverage Race Class Narrative (RCN) and race-forward, empirically-based messaging research in this experiential workshop. Designed for communicators, organizers, and advocates alike, this interactive workshop goes beyond the terminology to RCN’s practical application. You’ll learn how to use RCN to strategically foster genuine connection, engagement, and mobilize action.
Learning Objectives:
Identify a new way to engage, mobilize, and persuade audiences based on RCN and race forward empirically-based messaging research findings.
Recognize how the opposition is strategically using racism to undermine the government and hijack the economy, as well as ways that we can successfully push back.
Get practice and feedback using the RCN framework.
From attending this workshop, you will get a basic understanding of the Race Class Narrative approach, support using the framework for your context, and insight on how to use other race-forward, empirically-based messaging research.
Engagement Commitment:
This workshop is interactive - not a standard webinar or lecture - and includes small group discussions, participatory activities, and Q&A. Signing up means that you are ready to dedicate two hours entirely to the workshop.
Note: Race Class Narrative Foundations is designed as an introduction for those who haven’t attended a RCN workshop, giving a basic understanding of the Race Class Narrative approach. Please do not sign up if you have previously attended a training.
