You're invited to a meetup with us at The Peace House in Portland on November 16. We'll talk about our work building a grassroots, global network advocating for war abolition, and how to get involved locally by starting a World BEYOND War chapter in Oregon.

We'll brainstorm ideas for local, statewide, and national campaigns and actions, with particular focus on countering military recruitment in the schools, weapons divestment, and reforming the draft to allow registration as a conscientious objector.

Our mission - to abolish the very institution of war - is a lofty goal, and will necessitate the activation of communities of people from all walks of life across the globe. Our unique approach provides the resources and tools to dismantle the myths about war's inevitability. In fact, the war machine makes us less safe, erodes our liberties, and is a corporate boondoggle, wasting taxpayer dollars that are badly needed for human and environmental needs.
