If any of those statements apply to you, join us on Friday, August 30th for a training on how to work within autonomous small groups for maximally effective street action. This will be a great learning experience to prepare for the September 23 DC Shutdown. And our training will be led by a highly experienced activist and trainer, who will be sharing her expertise with us.

Come with a group of friends who are ready to take action for the planet! This will be an experiential learning session, so be prepared to move. We will be spending time occupying the street, but we will also have time for learning and reflection.

We will be going over strategies for working effectively within a group, the specifics of the laws regarding street occupations in DC, and how you can safely use your body as a blockade.

Since we will be taking the street, we do need a minimum number of people for this to be possible. If we don't get 30 RSVPs before 4pm on Friday, we will have to call off the event :(
