York Green Campus Volunteer Training
Start: Tuesday, March 04, 2025• 4:00 PM
End: Tuesday, March 04, 2025• 5:00 PM
We are looking for enthusiastic students to become Green Campus volunteers over the academic year 2024-25! We would love to meet anyone who is interested in volunteering with us at our training session on 4th March.
Do you want to gain green skills, make a difference at your university and achieve volunteer accreditation? Become a Green Campus Volunteer in your halls of residence.
Attend the informal training session which covers an introduction to sustainability, how you can take sustainable action in your accommodation and what it means to be a Green Campus Volunteer. Once you have attended the training we have year-long activities that will help you take action on the climate crisis whilst also contribute to your professional development.
Can’t attend? Register your interest and we will let you know when we will be running additional sessions.
What is College Sustainability Challenge?
College Sustainabiliy Challenge is the sustainability competition in your halls of residences. The hall that is the best for saving energy and water and reducing waste will win an end of year prize. Across the year we will run competitions, quizzes and master classes to support you on your sustainability journey as well as giving you chances to win prizes along the way.
As a Green Campus Volunteer, you can help spread the word in halls with opportunities to create engaging articles and social media, promote the activities, review your halls performance and run awareness events.
What are you waiting for? Get involved today!
Please note, this event is only open to students at the University of York.
